you know the password, bud.
you like what i did there? Got no real plans. Just to do what i do and bring a new sound to the ‘bolts. maybe i haven’t written books like Hick, but that’s not because i don’t have the words or the brains, i just don’t have the fucKing ink. And does the world really need another book convincing people to treat the ailments of serpants? Do i think he’s dead? no. i think he’s back on the rock island. just an opinion.
Never be the same without Hick. But I guess now we could all write a book about the assassination of the seraphim. And for all the talk about whether he is dead or alive - does it really matter? Even if he is cold in the ground and doing nothing more than luring monopods to feed, he’s still with us through the music. We still feel him. Like a phantom limb. So now at least you know why the tour has that banner. And that should explain why only the chosen few can come to witness this musical collective.
Lot of good things have come from the ‘bolts spending time apart. The urge to kill has diminished, but still lingers in my noisy cranium. New material has risen. A tough task, like ploughing a furrow with the jawbone of a horse, according to Rotor. But the man with the seeds will come and, by May 29th, something new and spectacular will rise like a pavilion. For those of you who have been asking who I’m listening to these days, lot of new talent is the answer. Go poke My Pretend Orchestra and OK Tokyo. Find them on myspace. Fine bony stuff.
The decision has been taken to go public on the ‘bolts tour. Too much false talk to manage. Here’s what we can tell you as of now. The Phantom Limb tour will see the Deadbolts and three other bands take to the stage for a one-off performance. This microscopic gig will be open to invitees only, with just one hundred tickets available to the public. This may be a catastrophic plan, but here’s the deal. The first fifty fans to figure out who else is on the bill will get the tickets. All the clues you need to identify the other bands are somewhere on the site. So get searching. Mail your answers to thedeadbolts@googlemail.com
So we kill one rumour and now another is rising. But the answer is the same. There is no gig at the Daedalus Mortuary in June. Maybe for some other band, but not the ‘bolts. Can we get some balance here??
There is no gig planned in Ostia. The fact that a date has been touted (November 13th) has added petroleum to the talk, but let’s kill this right now, once and for all. No gig. Honest. Peace.
